Refrigeration and Water Treatment by Renewable Energies

FTEER division presentation

Cooling and water treatment by renewable energies division aims to use renewable energies in general and solar energy in particular in the field of domestic and industrial cold production, wastewater treatment and water treatment, sea and brackish water. These areas are integrated into different sectors such as agriculture, housing, industry and health, in order to rationalize and optimize energy as well as the reuse of treated water.

Research areas of FTEER Division:

  • Rationalization and optimization of energy for refrigeration and air conditioning in the housing sector,
  • Integration of thermal cooling in the building,
  • Development of solar cooling production systems for the storage and preservation of agro-food, pharmaceutical and vaccine products,
  • Development of desalination and distillation systems for seawater and brackish water through the integration of renewable energies and artificial intelligence,
  • Design, size, study and optimize the operation of clean processes for water treatment by integrating solar energy.

Types of research projects developed within the FTEER division:

  • Projects with socio-economic impacts,
  • Internal projects Epst CDER,
