Team presentation :

The know-how of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning by Renewable Electric Energy / FCEEOR team of FTEER Division is enhanced by the mastery of experimental and theoretical techniques in the fields of solar cooling, in particular refrigeration and air conditioning, heat and mass transfer, thermal storage (cold room) and energy efficiency in buildings. As well as the design, production of prototypes and adaptation of equipment to facilitate the integration of Renewable Energies for better optimization and energy rationalization. Our team regularly uses analytical and digital tools; CFD (Fluent), Matlab environment and graphic modeling (Bond graph). Recently, the team has enriched these research themes by treating and disinfecting air and surfaces via germicidal ultraviolet irradiation (UVGI). At the same time, team members participate in the training and supervision of university students (end of study projects, short-term internship, laboratory visit, etc.).

Ongoing project:

  • Hybrid Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Applied to Low Consumption Buildings (BBC)

Skills domains

  • Development of methods, energy systems and prototypes, in the production of high energy efficiency cooling using renewable energies.
  • Development of control systems and intelligent management of refrigeration installations
