Presentation of the division

The Renewable Energy Equipments Division (EER), a Research and Development (R&D) structure of the Solar Equipments Development Unit, created in 2005 previously Photovoltaic division. it is a multidisciplinary R&D Division develops all prototype equipments and systems that work mainly on solar energy and other renewable energies,particularly prototypes of autonomous and grid-connected photovoltaic systems, hybrid and multi-source systems, solar thermal systems (concentrating, solar thermal collectors, etc.), system electronics and control (inverters, regulators, etc.) , the different energy storage techniques and also the development of digital tools that help decision-making.

Missions

The Renewable Energy Equipments Division (EER) is in charge of R&D and prototypes equipments implementation relating to the exploitation and renewable energies use, particularly solar energy.

Goals

  • The EER Division main objective is to contribute to the success of the national research and development programs of the DGRSDT, the renewable energies and energy efficiency programs of the country, through the development of equipments prototypes that contribute to the growth of the national industry, ensuring certain rates of national products integration and minimizing the import bill for equipment and costs of studies and expertise in the field of renewable energies.
  • Renewable energies systems Control which also contribute to the development of remote rural areas or difficult to access the electricity network, and improve the living conditions of Algerian citizens.
  • Contribute to various training and supervision in the field of renewable energies (installers training , academics, graduation, doctoral students and researchers).
  • Promotion and dissemination of research results in the field.
