Visit of the Minister of Higher Education of Zambia to UDES/EPST CDER

   The Solar Equipment’s Development Unit affiliated to the Renewable Energies Development Center (UDES/EPST CDER), received on Sunday April 28th, 2024, the Zambian Minister of Education and Higher Education, Mr. Douglas Munsaka Syakalima who was welcomed by the Director of the Solar Equipment Development Unit (UDES / EPST CDER), Dr. Abbas, in the presence of the Director of the Renewable Energies Development Center (EPST CDER) Pr. Abdelbaki, the Deputy Director of cooperation and academic exchanges at the General Directorate of Scientific Research and Technological Development (DGRSDT), Mr. Khacheni, the two division heads and the team leaders of UDES/EPST CDER.

This visit is part of the consolidation and promotion of bilateral relations in the renewable energies sector, through the development of joint research projects.

During this visit, the Zambian Minister received explanations concerning the various research projects developed at the unit.
For his part, the Zambian Minister of higher Education, Mr.Douglas Munsaka Syakalima, welcomed Algeria's efforts for the development of the renewable energies sector.

Subsequently, the Minister visited the outdoor experimental platform, where various prototypes developed within the unit are exhibited, namely: the intelligent solar house, the solar greenhouse. Detailed explanations were given to him by the researchers concerning the operation mode of each prototype.
At the end, the Minister visited the various laboratories of the Unit, in particular the laboratories:
Distillation and desalination of brackish and sea water .

Purification and valorization of waste water.
