Celebrating The World Nutrition Day

As part of the celebration of World Nutrition Day, the Solar Equipments Development Unit (UDES / EPST CDER) in coordination with the Agricultural Chamber of the Wilaya of Tipasa, organized on Monday October 16th, 2023, an event under the slogan: “water is life, water is nutrition” at the Unit’s headquarters in Bouismail.
The welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Abbas, Director of the Solar Equipments Development Unit (UDES / EPST CDER) was followed by the intervention of the representative of the President of the Chamber of Agriculture of the Wilaya of Tipasa; , in the presence of representatives of the Water Resources Directorate, representatives of the Forest Protection Directorate, representative of the Agricultural Services Directorate of the wilaya of Tipasa and the Director of the StartUp Irigreen, (StartUp activating in the field of irrigation,).
Subsequently, a video presenting the UDES / EPST CDER, its research activities, its different research teams, was broadcast.
On the sidelines of this day, presentations were given concerning the treated wastewater reuse :
- Réutilisation des eaux usées épurées, by Dr. Benhabiles of the Solar Equipments Development Unit (UDES).
- Le cadre règlementaire et législatif relatif à la réutilisation des eaux usées épurées, by the representative of the Water Resources Department.
- The experience of the Irigreen StartUp in the field of irrigation.
After that, the participants visited the exhibition organized by the National Irrigation Office and the Directorate of Agricultural Services of the wilaya of Tipasa.
At the end , certificates of thanks were given to the Director of UDES / EPST CDER for hosting the event and to the Director of Irigreen StartUp for his efforts in the development of the agricultural sector in Algeria.
