Closing ceremony of the Third Edition of the Competition: “Academy of Young Creators in the Field of Renewable Energies”

  The Solar Equipment’s Development Unit (UDES/ EPST CDER) organized a prize-giving ceremony on July 18th, 2023, of the third edition of the competition organized in coordination with the Education Directorate of the Wilaya of Tipasa, on renewable energies intended for high school pupils, under the title "Academy of Young Creators in Renewable Energies - an idea, a project, a challenge". The ceremony took place in the presence of Pr. N. Abdelbaki, Director of the Renewable Energies Development Center (EPST / CDER), Mr. F. Tebboune, Director of Education of the Wilaya of Tipasa, Dr. Sellami, representative of the High Commission for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency (CEREFE).
Were also present, the local authorities of Bou ismail city, the executives of the Ministry of Education of the Wilaya of Tipasa and the representatives of the sponsoring companies.
The welcome address by Dr. Abbas, Director of the Solar Equipment’s Development Unit (UDES/ EPST CDER), who thanked all those who contributed to the success of this event, was followed by the address by Mr. Tebboune, Director of Education of the Wilaya of Tipasa who expressed his satisfaction with the success of this third edition, and the intervention of Pr.N. Abdelbaki, Director of the Renewable Energies Development Center (EPST / CDER) who encouraged the organization of such events which contribute to the promotion of renewable energies.
Subsequently, Dr.Sellami, representative of the High Commission of Renewable Energies (CEREFE), congratulated the organizers of this event and the students participating in the competition for their achievements and their efforts . The competition for high school students in the Wilaya of Tipasa has the following objectives:

  • Instill in pupils the culture and habit of daily use of renewable energies in order to preserve the environment through simple actions, such as recycling waste, saving energy and water.
  • Introduce young students to renewable energies technologies.
  • Encourage pupils to innovate in the field of renewable energies, through applications simple to realize and offer a climate of competition to young innovators.

The 09 projects, delivered and collected at the level of the Solar Equipment’s Development Unit (UDES/ EPST CDER), were evaluated by a specialized bilateral commission, according to the following criteria:

  • The idea of the project
  • Project report
  • Project realization
  • Presentation of the project.

After deliberation, the ranking was as follows:

  • The first prize was awarded to Khlifa Tayeb high school (Hamer el Ain)
  • The second prize was awarded to Kherfa Mohamed High School (Bourkika)
  • The third prize was awarded to high schools: Mohamed Talbi (Tipasa), Sidi Ali Mebarek (Kolea), Talab Abderrahmane (Hadjout) and Khider Ibrahim (Douaouda).

The first three high schools to win the competition presented their projects.
The ceremony ended with the awarding of prizes to the winning pupils . honorary certificates were given to all the participants to this event, as well as to the members of the evaluation and the organization committees .
