Call for projects launching day on brackish and seawater desalination

  The General Directorate for Scientific Research and Technological Development (DGRSDT) organized A Study Day on the Launch of The Call for Projects for the Benefit of Socio-economic Partners related to " seawater desalination ".


 This study day is a first step for the establishment of a national program to deal with the problem of desalination in application of the President of the Republic directives to guarantee the country's water security resolving the lack of water resources..

In the first part of the day, presentations were given by researchers and socio-economic partners on the strategies to be followed for the development of seawater desalination techniques, the current situation and the method to be followed for the application of seawater desalination research projects.


 The second part of this day was marked by the presence of Mr. Badari, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research accompanied by Mr. Yacine Oualid, Minister of Knowledge Economy and Start-ups and of Mr. Bouseta, the Wali of Tipasa.


 Mr. Badari launched the call for training projects in the field of desalination. In their speeches, the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Knowledge Economy and Start-ups emphasized the need for the creation of new courses and students training in the field of desalination and their support for the realization of their ideas through the creation of start-ups in the field of desalination.
 The day ended with a visit to the Unit's laboratories and the various outdoor experimental platforms, where explanations were given by the Unit's researchers concerning the various prototypes developed.
