: Belgassim Boutra graduated in Chemical Engineering in 2006 from USTHB University (Algeria). In 2009, he obtained Magister Degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Polytechnic School, Algeria. In 2019, he has Doctorate Degree in Environment Engineering from USTHB University (Algiers). During his studies, he was interested in methods of pollution control and water treatment. It was a real challenge and a very interesting experience for him to develop new photocatalytic reactors and photocatalysts to eliminate various recalcitrant pollutants (dyes, drugs and heavy metals) from wastewaters by advanced oxidation process (AOPs) using solar light as energetic source. Since 2013, he is a researcher in Solar Equipment Development Unit, UDES/CDER and member of many scientific projects and events.
